Hohman Plating a division of Novaria Group is a leading service provider for plated coatings. We serve a diversified customer base including aerospace medical large equipment and more. Located one mile north of downtown Dayton. Housing is not provided.U.S. Citizenship Required. 5 days per week 8 hours per day. This co-op term starts in January 2026 and concludes in August 2026.SUMMARY OF JOBCoordinate and execute activities to support and maintain the QMS (Quality Management System)Work closely with system analyst and engineers to identify and correct deficiencies in the QMSIdentify areas for improvement and implement changes to reduce waste while improving process flow and outputs of the businesss processesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReview and understand the key procedures and components of the QMS and the businesss quality objectivesRead and interpret customer quality system requirements including industrial processing and inspection specificationsAudit business procedures and functions including industrial processing and inspection operations against a defined set of requirementsCreate reports which clearly and concisely outline how business procedures and functions either meet or do not meet the defined set of requirementsCollaborate with business unit teams to agree upon specific actionable items necessary to implement new requirements or address identified deficienciesWork in various software platforms to audit data pertaining to chemical process procedures and parameters inspection and quality performance.Workflo specification-driven planning software which specifies the process and inspection steps which the business followsTrueChem software for testing and maintaining chemistries within parametersSQL and Access database reportsQuery and manipulate data create Excel spreadsheets for review and to assist in executing project tasksAssist with product testing as neededAssist with instrument calibration as neededOther duties assigned as needed for this roleEDUCATION SKILLS & EXPERIENCEDegrees being pursued in Industrial or Systems Engineering Chemical Engineering or Computer Science (not programming) is preferredKey attributes that we will be screening are a bias for action a results-oriented mindset positive attitude and someone who loves a challenge.
