Whether supporting logistics, information technology, cyber security, or facilities operations, we are united by a shared mission: to create meaningful economic opportunity and growth of the Tlingit & Haida Tribes of Alaska.Together We Grow – One Mission, One Team – With a Commitment to ServeScope of Work: The Cook II is responsible for independently preparing and cooking large quantities of food in a high-volume dining facility, ensuring quality, consistency, and strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.Responsibilities:Prepare and cook large quantities of food independently using a variety of methods in accordance with Army recipes and local menu plans.Ensure proper portion control, plating, and presentation standards are maintained.Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.Demonstrate strong customer service skills and greet guests in a friendly, professional manner.Maintain accurate temperature logs and ensure proper food storage, labeling, and rotation.Complete all side work, setup, and breakdown duties as assigned.Requirements: A minimum of two (2) years of prior cooking experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.Ability to maintain a valid ServSafe certification. Experience in a military kitchen (DFAC) preferred.Must satisfactorily complete Food Service Medical Clearance (Tri Service Food Code – TB Med 530).Ability to obtain an interim Secret Clearance prior to start.Possess a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
