For information about ABMs benefits visit ABM Team Member Benefits Front Line Team Members (Programa de Beneficios de ABM)The Utility position provides the shampoo carpets waxing stripping polishing and buffing floors.Essential Functions:* Floor person is responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet and hard surface floors including stripping scrubbing buffing waxing refinishing sealing and spot cleaning.* Responsible for using safety measures in work areas.* Duties also include assisting the Building/Account Lead with special projects including but not limited to setups breakdowns move in/ move outs).* Floor Tech must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.ResponsibilitiesCleans building floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.Strips seals finishes and polishes floorsCleans and vacuums carpeted areas including application of spot cleaning treatmentDrives vehicles (if required) to perform or travel to cleaning work including vans industrial trucks or industrial vacuum cleanersClean restrooms conference rooms lobby breakrooms and halls.Remove trash mopping sweeping dusting vacuuming and remove trash.Miscellaneous duties as assignedQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderMust meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable) including ten-year work history if available Operate different machines to clean building floors.Preferred Qualifications:Customer Service Experience1 year of similar work experience A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
