In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing janitorial equipment, including:Floor care machinesVacuum cleanersBuffersInstalling laundry and kitchen systems and other cleaning devices used in commercial settings.The ideal candidate will have proven mechanical expertise with janitorial appliances.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repair on janitorial equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctionsReplace or repair parts as necessaryKeep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairsEnsure compliance with safety and operational protocolsRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentProven experience as a janitorial equipment maintenance technician Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of janitorial equipmentFamiliarity with circuit boards and low-voltage systemsAbility to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmentsThe candidate must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean DMV record, as they will need to travel to the client's job sites, typically within an hour drive max., to perform machinery repairs.BenefitsDemonstrating your capabilities could lead to a permanent position with our client, often along with a raise.Our client offers an excellent work environment.The hourly range for this position ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience.Position is located in the Virginia Beach Lynnhaven Industrial Park.
