Job Title: Japanese/English Bilingual Business Development AssociateLocation: San Mateo CaliforniaSalary range: $50k-$100k DOEHours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PMJob Type: PermanentJob Description:We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial New Business Development Associate to joinour this role you will play a key part in identifying and developing new business opportunitiesdriving growth and supporting strategic initiatives across various markets. As a full-time team memberyou will have the opportunity to influence key decisions and contribute significantly to the expansion ofour business.Responsibilities: Market Research & Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth research on market trendscustomer needs and competitive landscapes. Identify new business opportunities and growthareas in domestic and international markets. Strategic Planning & Business Case Development: Develop business plans and financialmodels to support the launch of new initiatives. Collaborate with leadership to create go-to-marketstrategies and validate business models. Partnership & Client Relationship Management: Help identify and build relationships with keypartners potential clients and stakeholders. Manage business development pipelines and trackprogress through CRM tools. Product Development Support: Work closely with product marketing and technology teamsto support the development of new products or services. Ensure alignment with market needsand business objectives. Project Management: Take ownership of cross-functional projects ensuring timely deliverymeeting objectives and staying within budget. Communicate progress and outcomes tostakeholders. Data-Driven Decision Making: Collect and analyze data on business performance marketconditions and customer behavior. Use insights to recommend and implement improvements tocurrent strategies and business models. Presentation & Reporting: Prepare presentations reports and pitch decks for internal andexternal audiences including senior leadership investors and potential partners.Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Business Economics Marketing Finance or arelated field. 1-3 years of experience in business development strategy consulting or a similarrole is preferred. Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to perform market analysis financial modelingand develop strategic insights based on data. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience inpreparing and delivering presentations to various stakeholders including senior management. Entrepreneurial Mindset: A self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving able towork independently and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Tech Savviness: Proficient in Microsoft Excel Google Sheets and presentation tools (e.g.PowerPoint Google Slides). Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) and analytics tools(e.g. Google Analytics) is a plus. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work cross-functionally with teams in marketing product salesand operations in Japanese. A team player who can build strong relationships acrossdepartments. Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention todetail organization and the ability to meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Startups or High-Growth Environments: Prior experience working in a startupor fast-growing company is desirable. Industry Experience: Knowledge of or experience in industries such as technologycybersecurity consumer goods or SaaS is a plus. Global Business Experience: Previous experience working on international projects ormanaging global business initiatives is preferred. Advanced Degrees: MBA or relevant advanced degrees are a plus but not required.
