Jennie-O - 1st Purchasing Clerk, Pelican Rapids, MN (2026) at Hormel Foods

Job Title

Job Responsibilities:

Auto creates MRO purchase requisitions into the PO's in Oracle cloud for Montevideo and Pelican Rapids plants.

Receives and updates confirmation for all direct/indirect/MRO orders at Montevideo and Pelican Rapids.

Research any outstanding issues on these orders with the warehouse and parts room personnel at the plant.

Research and update direct/indirect reports, UIRR reports and overdue reports for Montevideo and Pelican Rapids.

Assists with miscellaneous parts room duties.

Assists with DataServ and Oracle resolution to ensure on-time vendor payment.

Assists Plant Purchasing Manager and MRO Buyer with miscellaneous duties.

Assist with vacation coverage for Maintenance Storeroom Coordinators/Purchasing Clerks throughout the Enterprise.

There may be times when picking up parts is necessary.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Strong interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills.

Must be detail oriented with ability to adapt to a changing environment.

Strong computer skills including 10 key data entry/typing skills.

Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Oracle/DataServ.
