We’re looking for a Full-Time Jr. Preschool Teacher to join our amazing team at Crayon College Child Care Center!This position is now available for applications — we’re excited to find the right teacher to join our Jr. Preschool classroom for children ages 2½–3½ years old. It’s a place where you’ll feel proud of the work you do and know you are truly making a difference.DutiesPlan and implement fun, age-appropriate activities that promote growth and development (we use Creative Curriculum).Create a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through guided play and hands-on experiences.Encourage self-help skills, cooperation, and independence as children prepare for the preschool stage.Communicate regularly with families about daily routines, learning progress, and classroom highlights.Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to create a consistent, nurturing environment.Requirements18 years of age or olderPassion for working with children and helping them reach developmental milestonesDependable, positive, and team-orientedMust meet all Washington State DCYF (Department of Children, Youth, and Families) requirements, including but not limited to:Completion of a Portable Background Check through the DCYF MERIT systemCurrent CPR/First Aid certification and Bloodborne Pathogens trainingProof of negative TB test or screeningUp-to-date MMR immunization documentation or exemptionCompletion of required training modules, including 30-hour starsFood Handlers Card If you are a good fit, we can help you with the training requirements.Nice To HavesPrevious experience working with children in a licensed childcare settingBenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience Opportunities for professional development and advancementConsistent ScheduleFull-time, Monday through FridayTypical hours: 8:45 AM – 5:15 PMNo evenings or weekends—enjoy your work-life balance!Training opportunities availableFederal holidays offSupportive leadership and a fun, family-like atmosphereStaff appreciation events and an encouraging work culture
