Junior High ELA Teacher - Small Charter School at Freedom Academy Inc

Our small, close-knit charter school in Phoenix is seeking a passionate and dedicated Junior High English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to join our team!

Position Overview:
We are looking for an educator who inspires a love of reading and writing while helping students strengthen their critical thinking and communication skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with junior high students and creating an engaging, student-centered classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

Teach English Language Arts to junior high students (grades 6-8)

Develop and deliver engaging lessons in reading, writing, grammar, and literature

Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and creativity

Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff

Qualifications:

Valid Arizona teaching certification (or ability to obtain)

Experience teaching middle school or junior high ELA preferred

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Passion for literacy and student growth
