Superintendent - Security System Integration at Paladin Technologies

If you thrive in a highly regulated, high-stakes environment where precision and compliance are non-negotiable, join our team and become the backbone of our physical security operations.The Superintendent will provide daily scheduling of technician resources, including subcontractors, site supervision, monitor the performance of several staff members, and be very involved with each of the projects assigned. This role will engage with customer communications, project scheduling, materials tracking, quality control, managing labor hours, materials budgets, and supporting project related documentation/submittals. You will be the single-point-of-contact for our projects, and responsible for coordinating various trades throughout the project life cycle. The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach apprentice level technicians a variety of skills within the Low Voltage industry and assist senior level technicians with troubleshooting/problem solving more complex installations.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Review project requirements and installation plan with the project teamSchedule projects with customers and assign technical and asset resourcesCommunicate with all internal & external project team membersReview job packages upon receipt for job cost accuracyReview, modify and red line all job documentation for assigned projectsFacilitate the completion of Change orders both external and internalWork with Project Accountants to ensure proper billing requirements are met, and costs are being monitoredReview and keep current job costing reports for all open projects - ensure hours spent on projects are within budgetAdminister a corrective action plan when hours being used are in excess of the budgeted hours.Monitor and track material delivery for all assigned projectsSchedule and conduct internal and external job kick-off meetings for single scope projectsReview system installations to ensure best practices are usedSupervise and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance and support to optimize their performanceEnsure technicians maintain appropriate appearance and conduct on all assigned projectsFacilitate the staging of materials for projectsEnsure project team has the proper tools for the jobClose out projects in a timely manner and obtain customer sign-offCompile and deliver all project final deliverablesFacilitate and assist in client trainingsTravel to sites required throughout employmentCollaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities for upselling or expanding servicesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 5 years of experience in low voltage access control, intrusion, locking mechanisms and surveillance camerasProven track record of successfully managing and completing projects within budget and scheduleIn-depth knowledge of low voltage systems, industry standards, and regulationsValid driver license and clean driving recordIndustry education and experience requiredExperience in Word, Excel and OutlookProficient with Computers and TroubleshootingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to remain calm and use sound judgment when addressing potentially volatile issuesAbility to operate as part of a teamAbility to pay attention to detailWork well in busy environment, with a willingness to pivot and redirect as neededSelf-driven to enhance overall industry knowledgeAbility to obtain and maintain/renew system product certifications as necessary for project requirementsAdditional Trade specific certifications will be required:Example: Audio Visual (AVIXA) orStructured Cabling/OSP (BICSI)Ability to obtain Hilti, Fall Protection, Scissor/Boom Lift, Confined Space CertificationsAbility to obtain OSHA30PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
