Job Description
Location Downers Grove, ILIndustrial Kinetics designs and builds engineered to order conveyor and material handling systems. In this role, you'll begin by learning our products, CAD standards, fabrication practices, and design processes. As you develop, you will take on more engineering responsibility including concept design, calculations, component selection, problem solving, and eventually full ownership of machine designs. You will be able to learn about conveyor, sheet metal design, and fabrication constraints.Responsibilities:Begin with SolidWorks modeling, detail drawings, and subassembly designLearn IK conveyor standards, sheet-metal design, and fabrication constraintsSupport senior engineers with design calculations and mechanism developmentAssist in developing custom machines and conveyor conceptsProduce clean, accurate fabrication and assembly drawingsParticipate in design reviews, brainstorming, and problem-solving sessionsLearn how designs move through fabrication, assembly, installation, and serviceGrow into full project ownership (concept ? design ? fabrication ? installation)Requirements:This position requires applicants to be legally authorized to work in the United States.
