Junior Mechanical Engineer at Regal Technology Partners

Position Title: Junior Mechanical EngineerDepartment: EngineerLocation: Santa Ana CAFLSA Status: Non-exempt Full-TimeJob Summary:The Junior Mechanical Engineer supports the design development and improvement of mechanical components assemblies and systems. Working closely with senior engineers manufacturing quality and cross-functional teams this role assists in modeling drafting prototyping testing and validating mechanical designs. The Junior Mechanical Engineer helps ensure products meet performance reliability and manufacturability requirements while complying with industry standards and internal processes.Key Responsibilities:Assist in designing and developing mechanical parts assemblies and systems using CAD software under the direction of senior engineers.Support basic engineering analyses including stress evaluations tolerance studies thermal considerations and design feasibility assessments.Create revise and maintain detailed engineering drawings 3D models and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.Participate in prototyping activities including part fabrication coordination hands-on assembly testing measurement and data collection.Support validation of designs and engineering changes through structured testing and documentation of results.Collaborate with manufacturing quality supply chain and production teams to resolve engineering issues and support production readiness.Assist in identifying and implementing design-for-manufacturing (DFM) cost reduction and performance improvement opportunities.Participate in design reviews risk assessments failure analysis and the engineering change (ECO) process.Maintain accurate BOMs test reports specifications and other engineering documentation in accordance with internal procedures.Ensure engineering work complies with applicable industry standards regulatory requirements and company safety and quality practices.Conduct basic research on materials components manufacturing methods and emerging technologies to support engineering decisions.Assist with problem-solving activities related to design or production issues including root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action support.Provide general engineering support across departments and contribute to company-wide technical initiatives as needed.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred) 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)Physical Requirements: Ability to stand walk or move through production and testing environments. Ability to lift carry push or pull up to 2535 lbs occasionally. Manual dexterity to work with small tools prototypes and test equipment.
