As a Senior Warehouse Quality Specialist, you’ll be responsible for conducting inspections, tests, and audits at our warehouse site, verifying suppliers are meeting standards, and working on solutions projects to repair non-conforming products. You will collaborate closely with the Quality Department, Warehouse and Logistics, and other cross-functional teams to help drive quality improvements.Why We Need You:Article’s Warehouse department receives all our boxed furniture, inspects and adds the inventory to our system, then stores all our boxed furniture which is then loaded into delivery trucks -  they ensure the right products are going to the right customers.You will work with the quality team to ensure the quality of our furniture, and to address non-conformances efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The warehouse quality team was first introduced in 2024 and we are excited to expand the team with team members at all warehouse locations. You’ll do all this while growing your skills within a company that is redefining the furniture industry. Schedule:  Monday - Friday 40 hours a week - (8:00am - 5:00pm)Location: 1660 Ashton Park Drive, Colonial Heights, VA 23834Team Size: 529 paid days off between vacation, wellness and holiday (details below)Generous medical, dental and vision coverage for you and your familyPaid paternity/maternity leave45% discount on all Article furniturePaid uniforms & safety bootsOccasional evening meetings may be required to collaborate with global team in Asia or Mexico.Travel may be required for projects or training at other warehouse locations.What You’ll Do:Conduct thorough inspections of furniture items to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Identify and document defects, inconsistencies, and non-conformities in products.Review products with high delivery damage rates, and conduct in-field investigation on root cause of issueInspections may involve products or packaging in compromised condition. PPE and training will be provided.Determine fixes to products at the warehouse not meeting Article’s standards such as through reinforcement of packaging.Coordinate rework activities and large scale inspections with warehouse personnel or with third parties.Assist in rework quoting, and sourcing of materials for repairs as needed.Perform tests on products to verify durability, functionality, and safety, and to verify efficacy of any repairs.Participate in regular quality audits and reviews.Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, and actions taken.Audit and inspect incoming containers to verify conformance to standards, and work with in-country teams to issue CAPAs for non-conformances.Audit box sizes and weights.Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance product quality.Conduct other ad hoc project work as required.Who You Are:3–5 years of quality inspection experience (furniture, warehousing, or manufacturing preferred)Understanding of furniture construction (asset)Prior CAPA/root cause experienceStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to conduct inspections, basic tests, and assembly checksAble to read and interpret furniture assembly instructionsProficient use of inspection tools and measuring equipmentStrong delegation, prioritization, and communication skillsExperience with quality control processes and standardsTools & TechnologyProficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.)Experience with Wrike or similar project management tools (asset)Work EnvironmentAble to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentDependable, reliable, and committed to qualityPhysical RequirementsAble to lift 50 lbs independentlyAble to move 100–300+ lbs with team members and/or proper equipmentOther RequirementsLegally authorized to work in the U.S.Must pass:Pre-employment drug and alcohol testCriminal background checkArticle participates in E-VerifyPerks & Benefits:Benefits-eligible (90-day probationary period)Medical, Dental, & Vision coverageLife InsuranceDisability insurance Vacation, Holidays & Sick/Wellness Days 48 hours Sick/wellness (6 days, accrued annually)8 paid holidays + 1 Inclusion & Diversity day120 hours (3 weeks) paid vacation (accrued annually)Other Benefits/Perks4% 401K matched contribution Paid maternity and parental leave45% Employee discount + 15 % family & friends discountThe salary range is $75,000 to $85,000. The starting salary will be determined by your transferable skills, knowledge, work experience, and the hiring team’s budget, which is based on business needs, market compensation data, and internal equity.
