Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSouth Shreveport Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join our compassionate team! Our kennel team plays an essential role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients while providing vital support to the veterinary staff.In this role, you will focus on patient care, husbandry, and maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment. Responsibilities include feeding and walking boarding patients, administering medications, monitoring for medical or behavioral concerns, and documenting observations with accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll also help maintain sanitized kennels, common areas, and treatment spaces while ensuring supplies are well stocked.This position is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy organization and cleanliness. Must be available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, with rotating weekends. This role requires working every other weekend and all major holidays.
