Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFull job descriptionJOB SUMMARYThe Café Team Members are primarily responsible for serving guests efficiently with food and drink at the Café. Working hours will be spent in the kitchen and/or service area, cashiering, interacting with guests, cooking, preparing and serving food. Must work fast with a sense of urgency, while offering amazing standards of guest service and care. Looking to fill this position asap. RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrate the highest standards of guest relations and care when assisting guests at the counterGive advice, guidance and recommendations on products and menu selection to guests to ensure a positive experience and repeat businessEnsure adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for the Café areaManage queues and exceed guest expectations; upsell to maximize profitKeep Café and surrounding areas tidy and clean; this includes, but is not limited to, table clearing, removing and washing dishes, and taking out the trashHandle guest complaints in the first instance and report feedback to the Leadership TeamWork within established guidelines and operating proceduresMeasure and assemble ingredients for menu itemsProperly cook and store food items at appropriate temperaturesRotate stock items as per established procedureEnsure compliance with all health code regulationsMaintain clear, well-organized kitchen and storage areasParticipate in regular staff meetings and training, as requiredOther duties as tasked by LeadershipQUALIFICATIONSMinimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required, some College preferredPrevious restaurant/quick service experience preferredBasic math skills of adding and subtracting requiredServSafe or similar food handling certification preferredADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSHave a friendly and engaging personality and is a good written and verbal communicator; able to work under pressureComfortable working with members of the public, able to initiate conversations and provide a sincere welcome and enjoy providing good serviceWillingness to learn, take instruction and work under own initiative, supporting other team members and able to multitaskAn effective, well-organized and efficient team player with a strong sense of discipline and urgencyHolds oneself accountable for high personal standards of conduct and professionalismPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork days, nights, and/or weekends as requiredWork in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditionsMove about facility and stand for long periods of timeLift and carry up to 30 lbs
