Job DescriptionJob DescriptionInspectors check for surface discontinuities and imperfections such as cracks, porosity, undercut, and improper weld profiles to ensure the weld meets specified acceptance criteria. Principal Responsibilities:Read and understand blueprints and AWS welding symbolsVisually inspect welds to ensure conformance to specification requirementsInspect parts against drawings specifications within time allotted; ensuring product meets specified quality standardsUse precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and fixtures/gauges to check work to drawingsUpdate related paperwork (work orders and in-process inspection sheets) upon completion of tasksOther duties as assigned Safe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:Safety glasses with side shields as required Steel toed safety shoes as required Gloves as requiredEarplugs as requiredFire Retardant (FR) clothing as required N-95 mask or respirator as requiredSeat belts required on all forklifts Qualifications and Educational Requirements: Excellent communication skills (oral and written)Detail orientedManage time with little to no supervision, self-motivatedGeneral knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environmentAS9100 Quality compliance, understanding, and commitmentHigh School Diploma or Equivalent preferredWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
