Kitchen Manager / CookLocation: Saint Agnes Academy Dalton MAHours: Approximately 8:30-1:00 Monday through Friday (some flexibility possible)Job Type: Part TimeHow to Apply: Please submit your resume and any relevant certifications or references to Principal Curti at DESCRIPTIONPosition: Cook/Manager Job Goal:To serve the students healthy attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency cleanliness and :Reports to the Principal. Supervises the cafeteria staff. Education Work Experience and Licensure:Required:Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of the tasks listed. Two (2) or more years of service as a cook/baker or equivalent. Serve Safe :Three (3) or more years of previous service as a cook/baker or equivalent. Performance Responsibilities:Bakes and/or cooks the food for our School Lunch the highest standards of safety and major cleaning of the kitchen freezer walk-in storeroom in the daily cleanup of the in the general operation of the kitchen ( pots tables dishroom) during meal service and stores deliveries rotating stock for meals in accordance with the Academy DESE State and Federal requirementsServes all required training mandated by the State or Federal Government or as directed by the or purchases all food including taking full advantage of all DESE programsCompletes all DESE and Government reporting daily records of student participation in lunch program via computer program in useMonitors and reports revenue and expenses of the program on a bi-weekly basis to the PrincipalPerforms special catering functions during and after school if requested by the for maintaining daily temperature checks on all refrigeration production cafeteria monthly as a Mandated Reporter (Chapter 119 Section 51A).Complies with the Emergency/Crisis Intervention related duties as may be assigned by Administration or Knowledge/Abilities For Position: Interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be able to work independently. Must be able to comprehend verbal and written instructions. Physical Requirements:The position requires a moderate amount of walking standing sitting and climbing stairs and step stool whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching bending twisting grasping pushing and pulling of objects. The position requires lifting of objects of 40 pounds on a frequent basis and over 40 pounds occasionally. There may be frequent requirements of fine motor Conditions:The occupant is required to work indoors. The regular chemical solvents used are cleaning fluids. The occupant is exposed to extreme heat/cold changes. The occupant is expected to have gloves and respiratory protection when necessary.
