Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Knoxville Recovery Center is looking for cooks to join our kitchen! We are currently seeking the right individual to cook beautiful, clean and delicious meals in a therapeutic environment. Applicants should have a strong background in food service, be creative, and self-motivated. As a cook, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and balanced meals to our clients, contributing to their overall well-being during their recovery journey.About us: Knoxville Recovery Center was founded by individuals in recovery who have first-hand experience in receiving addiction treatment, and have developed a specialized model of care that incorporates techniques that work, while eliminating those that do not. We provide supportive environment for individuals recovering from addiction and alcoholism through a diverse array of therapeutic services. Our focus is on providing excellent care while maintaining a fun, calming environment for clients and staff alike.Job Duties:Prepare food for service and facilitate food daily schedule of Knoxville Recovery Center. Breakfast is served at 8am; lunch at 12pm; dinner at 5pm. Food will be prepared for a maximum of 42 clients at a time.Set up and stocking stations with all necessary suppliesStock inventory appropriatelyEnsure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely mannerProperty disposes of all food wastes..Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements.Adhere to established standards of hygiene and universal infection control procedures in handling all samples and supplies.Must have:A polite, friendly, and willing to learn attitude.Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of weights, measurements, volume and cooking proceduresAbility to work effectively within a teamStrong attention to detailMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and clientsSchedule:Monday - Thursday; 7am - 5pm Requirements:Education and Experience:High school or equivalentCooking experience: 1-2 years (Preferred)
