Title: Lab AssistantDepartment Org: Dept. of Cell and Cancer Biology - 107500Employee Classification: N2 - Unclass Part Time HSCBargaining Unit:Professional Staff AssociationPrimary Location: HSC SShift:1Job Description:The lab assistant will perform various general laboratory tasks in support of the principal investigator and other members of the research team. Have motivation and capability of being trained to assist PI in new research project initiation.Responsible for assisting PI and other research personnel with various research projects in the laboratory. Services performed will support the scientific goals of a cancer research project supported by a NIH grant.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Biology or related discipline required.- Ability to multi-task.- Self-motivated general curiosity in Science and quick learner Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Proven ability to work independently. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain a good attendance record. Dress in accordance to established guidelines.Working in a research laboratory environment.
