Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.Our Orange CA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Laboratory Assistant to join our Sample Receiving / PUSH team.Training Schedule: Mon - Fri 10 AM - 6:30 PMPay: $17.00 - $20.00As a key member of the laboratory team this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:Preparing and weighing samples for digestion or extraction as needed (includes but is not limited to: weighing soils making composites crushing samples incremental sampling product sampling etc)Data entryFacility housekeeping/maintenancePerform support tasks as neededComply with Enthalpys Quality Assurance Program and other policiesComply with Enthalpys Health and Safety PlanOther duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab DirectorYOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.High School DiplomaBasic laboratory techniques (knowledge of PPE use of balance pipetting glassware handling etc)Basic Excel skills requiredMust have ability to follow directions and work in a team settingMust be comfortable working with strong acids and solventsExcellent communication skills requiredDetailorientedPhysical Demands:Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shiftMust be able to lift move and carry up to 50 lbsPREFERRED SKILLSPrior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level positionKnowledge of analytical method analytical instruments general lab practices and lab safetyAbility to work independently and in a teamGood organizational skills and strong communication skillsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to his classification.
