Job Description
The FSE III/IV performs Calibrations/Qualifications Preventative Maintenance and Repairs on small laboratory instrumentation including balances and pH meters and chromatography systems including HPLCs GCs and UPLCs.ResponsibilitiesPerform troubleshooting preventative maintenance and repair both in the field and in the lab of various types of laboratory equipment including balances pH meters environmental monitoring equipment plate readers GCs HPLCs and UPLCs.Travel to customer sites to perform pipette calibrations and PMs as necessary.Manage personal parts inventory effectively.Provide feedback to Manager regarding any issue impacting service delivery particularly issues impacting turnaround times.Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.Follow good documentation practices (GDP) as applicable to daily activities.Contact customers on time and schedule service efficiently.Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.Effectively communicate with clients and other internal and external parties.Follow Eurofins work policies and all applicable SOPs. Ensure that training on both remains current.Maintain client confidentiality specifically if information about the customer is obtained from sources other than the customer (e.g. complainant assessors).Act impartially within the management system.Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.Qualifications : Minimum QualificationsTwo- or four-year degree in a related science field (e.g. chemistry analytical chemistry electronic engineering biotechnology or similar) plus 3-5 years (FSE III) or 5-7 years (FSE IV) experience in a related field preferably as a Field Service TechnicianExperience in providing field service support on GCs HPLCs and/or UPLCs.Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and perform tasks in various lab environmentsClear respectful and timely verbal and written communicationExperience with technical troubleshooting and problem solvingMust be self-motivated and proactiveValid drivers licenseClean driving recordAbility to travel within customer territory up to 5 days per week Monday-Friday. Overnight travel as needed.Additional Information : Working schedule will be Full-Time First Shift M-F 8am-4pm.
