Lab Technician at Alliance

Summary:The Lab Technicians main responsibility is to perform routine operations within a laboratory setting by supporting and facilitating daily laboratory operations. This includes preparing reagents cleaning glassware organizing sorting supplies and logging in samples. Additionally they may specialize in one or more types of analysis for the purposes of improving laboratory workflow. They are also responsible for following all documented procedures recording all laboratory notes and elevating technical issues to the laboratory manager.Essential Functions:Maintain a clean and organized lab space.Prepares general laboratory operations including preparation and analysis of samples.Prepare reagents and various media for testing at the direction of the Laboratory ManagerPerforms routine daily weekly and monthly maintenance of laboratory instruments and workspace.Documents work performed in accordance with established protocols compiles analysis data into lab reports.Perform a specific analysis or portion of analysis at the direction of the Laboratory ManagerClean and maintain equipment and glassware.Report non-conformances to the QAM and Laboratory ManagerPerforms other job-related duties and projects as assigned.Pay rate$18/hourQualifications:Associate degree or higher in a physical science preferred.General familiarity with laboratory safety previous laboratory experience preferred.Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office programs including Word Excel and Outlook.Excellent written and verbal communication skills both with internal customers and external vendors.Good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to read count and write to accurately complete all documentation.Professional behavior and appearance.Ability to be organized and attention to detail.Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.Ability to prioritize and multi-task follow up on pending issues meet deadlines and work independentlyGeneral knowledge of chemistry and lab analysis operations.At Alliance we are committed to fostering a workplace and community that embraces diversity equity and inclusion as core values.
