Regulations drive the need for our services but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.A Laboratory Technician I is responsible for performing tasks required to meet the expectations of our clients in addition to efficiently and profitably generating defensible data in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in working under possibly hazardous conditions (e.g. pathogens or chemicals). He/She/They will be well-trained to maintain safety conditions and will be passionate for doing work that makes things move forwardAs a key member of the Richmond Laboratory team this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSample/Equipment ReceiptSample Pressurization/PreparationSample ScreeningSample Archive ManagementFlow Controller inspection calibration leak checkingAssist with the loading of cleaning batchesAssist with equipment order assembly/packingComply with Enthalpys Quality Assurance Program and other policiesComply with Enthalpys Health and Safety PlanOther duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab DirectorYOUR EXPERTISE & SKILLSTo perform this job successfully individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.High School Diploma or GED Required Bachelor of Science Degree preferredStrong MS Office skillsMust have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working with tools on a daily basisAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood organizational skills and strong communication skillsMust have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and to lift/manipulate smaller weight items throughout the day.Must have the ability to stand and move about for approximately 80% of the shiftPREFERRED SKILLSKnowledge of general lab practices and lab safetyDatabase/LIMS experience is highly preferredPrior warehouse and/or shipping and receiving experienceThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
