The Infectious Disease lab is a mixture of classic microbiology as well as molecular bacteriology and virology.SummaryProvide technical and other supporting assistance in the laboratories as assigned.Job DescriptionThe Laboratory Technologist will work in but not limited to Cytogenetics Genetics or Infectious Disease (ID): Clinical laboratory to perform clinical laboratory testing including manual and automated methods in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for pre-analytical analytical and post-analytical phases of testing. Ensures all medical laboratory safety standards and quality requirements are met. Serves as a laboratory resource to other health care personnel. Must utilize critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
