Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionA well-established landscaping company is seeking a talented Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for designing residential and commercial landscapes, developing detailed plans, assisting with proposals, and supporting operations throughout project execution.The company strongly prefers a licensed candidate (Landscape Architect License), but is open to evaluating high-talent designers who are not yet licensed.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate landscape designs, site plans, planting plans, and hardscape layouts for residential and commercial clientsDevelop 2D/3D renderings, conceptual drawings, and construction documentsMeet with clients, conduct onsite walk-throughs, and gather project requirementsCollaborate with sales, estimators, project managers, and production crewsProduce accurate material lists, measurements, and project specificationsEnsure designs comply with local regulations, drainage requirements, and best practicesIncorporate sustainable and functional design principlesPresent designs to clients and assist in proposal developmentSupport production teams during installation to ensure design intent is metSkills, Knowledge and ExpertisePreferred: Licensed Landscape Architect (LLA)Acceptable: Experienced Landscape Designer actively pursuing licensure or with strong portfolioProficiency with design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks, Lumion, or similar)Strong understanding of plants, soils, irrigation, grading, and construction materialsExcellent communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesValid driver’s license; ability to conduct site visitsIdeal BackgroundsLandscape Architect (licensed or in-progress)Landscape Designer with construction and horticulture knowledgeHardscape design specialistIrrigation design experience a plusExperience in high-end residential design or commercial landscape design
