Landscaper (Full Time) at Williamsburg Landing

Description: The Landscaper supports the care and maintenance of the Williamsburg Landing campus by performing planting, landscaping, and general grounds keeping duties, under the guidance of the Landscape Manager and Lead Landscaper. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Implements landscape designs in residential and public areasPrepares soil for planting grass, flowers, shrubs, and treesInstalls sod, spreads seed, and re-plants a variety of vegetationMixes compost and applies fertilizer as needed to support plant healthWaters plants, flowers, and other greenery to ensure proper growthMows lawns, trims shrubs, prunes trees, and removes dead or damaged plantsClears roads and pathways of weeds, sand, debris, and trashCollects and properly disposes of litter and refuse as neededMaintains and repairs irrigation systems, including pipes and valvesDigs and lines ditches, trenches, and culverts for proper drainageInstalls decorative and functional materials such as stone, brick, or rockMaintains a clean and organized work area; safely disposes of fertilizer and other materialsEnsures all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and best practicesParticipates in disaster preparedness and emergency response, including fire drills and snow removalPerforms additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of one (1) year of experience in landscaping and the operation of landscaping equipment; experience with snow removal equipment, preferredProficient in reading, writing, and following both verbal and written grounds maintenance processes and instructionsPossession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAbility to interact professionally and respectfully with residents and coworkers.Reliable and able to perform tasks independently with minimal supervision.Ability to perform strenuous physical work, including stooping, bending, reaching, climbing, and crawling for extended periodsAble to safely work overhead from ladders for sustained periodsWilling and able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions throughout the yearAbility to safely lift and carry at least 50 pounds on a regular basisBENEFITS (Full-Time Employees):Health, Dental & Vision InsuranceFSA & HSA403(b) Retirement Plan 529 College Savings Plan Long-Term Care InsuranceLegal ResourcesPaid Time OffHoliday Pay Corporate Wellness Program Health Club & Spa Membership Employee Education & Training Fund Employee Assistance ProgramCredit Union Membership Part Time employee eligibleWilliamsburg Landing is a non-profit, independent community offering a vibrant lifestyle for residents.EOE/Drug Free/Tobacco Free Requirements: PId9b58de033b2-4843
