Laser Operator 1st Shift at Northern Manufacturing Co

Full-timeDescriptionNorthern Manufacturing a worldwide leader in stainless steel fabrication is seeking a qualified Laser Operator to join our CNC team on first shift. First shift hours are 6:00am to 3:30pm for a 45-hour workweek.Duties and Responsibilities: Set-up program and operate CNC flat and tube lasers to cut and fabricate parts. Perform routine preventative maintenance and any trouble shooting required. Monitor machine performance. Inspect parts for inaccuracies or complications and discuss any issues with supervisor. Responsible for handling material at workstation and loading and unloading material from the machine. Maintain a solid understanding of different material types and thicknesses. Maintain a clean organized and safe workstation. Maintain a solid understanding of different material types and thicknesses. Assist with other tasks throughout the shop including break out operating a forklift etc.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift 50 lbs. when required. While performing the duties of the job the employee is regularly required to stand walk climb ladders and reach with hands and arms.
