JOB DESCRIPTION
Flat Laser Operator
Join our dynamic team as a Flat Laser Operator, contributing to the production of precision parts and tools using advanced laser cutting technology. You will work in a thriving manufacturing environment, focusing on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Produce parts and tools from metal or other materials using a CNC laser.
- Review blueprints for the finished product, adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and cutting path.
- Ensure machines are set up properly, operating efficiently, and producing quality products.
- Perform periodic checks on machine output and maintain equipment at full capacity.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they are defect-free and prepared for the next production step.
- Operate flat laser machinery daily to produce parts.
Essential Skills
- At least 3 years of manufacturing work history.
- 1 year of experience operating a flat laser machine.
- 3 years of experience with production equipment/machinery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Strong communication skills for teamwork and problem-solving.
- Self-motivation and willingness to stay productive.
- Attention to detail with experience in using micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges.
- Ability to analyze blueprints and knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, and computer skills.
- Experience with blueprint reading, CNC equipment, and machine operation is a plus.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment
Work in a job shop environment within a 71,000 square foot facility, catering to the automotive industry and other major clients. Collaborate with welders in a fast-paced yet easygoing atmosphere. The position is for the 1st shift from Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with Saturday shifts as needed. Dress code includes jeans, a shirt, and steel-toed boots, with uniforms provided once hired permanently.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
