Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs tasks such as laser plasma or waterjet operation and assisting other employees as assignedPeriodically reviews their work with the Lead Man or Shop Supervisor to ensure that they are performing the job correctly and that quality requirements are maintainedSeeks to understand correct setup and operation of all machinery to which they are assignedMaintains clean and safe working areas (This applies not just to the laborers primary area but to any other area in which they may be working)Follows all safety rules. Positively encourages others to follow correct procedures and to maintain a safe working environmentMay go to the tool room attendant to obtain the correct consumables and tools if assigned by the lead man. Maintains all tools and consumables to extend their working lifeGives job lead feedback as to conditions or issues that will have an impact on the jobSeeks to be as knowledgeable as possible of all shop machinery and toolsSeeks to be as knowledgeable as possible with fabrication processes metal alloys and properties and relates that knowledge to assigned jobsSeeks to understand blueprints and part layouts (stretch-outs) but always works with the project lead to ensure accuracy of part dimensions and requirementsLooks for ways to increase efficiency and quality in their work while following correct procedures as requiredMay be required to perform field work as necessaryMaintains the confidentiality of customer and Samuels proprietary information.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Previous CNC operation 2 to 3 years machine operation preferred but not necessaryStrong familiarity with laser plasma or waterjet equipment and techniquesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Lifting to 50lbsHandling and moving objects- Using hands and arms inhandling installing positioning and moving materialsMust be able to stand squat bend crawl reachUse of a jib crane grinders forklift and other tools/equipment needed for the job at handWORK ENVIRONMENT:Manufacturing environment: May be exposed to loud noises changing temperatures machinery with moving parts and exotic materials.ITAR ResponsibilitiesAdhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training.
