How Youll Make an Impact:Assisting in the day-to-day management of the Applications Engineering team members and tasksTraining Mentoring Coaching and Reviewing the Applications Engineering Team and their workUnderstand thoroughly customer requirements specifications and existing pain points to aid other AEs in winning solutionsAid in the AE Teams efforts to define/develop cost-competitive capable technical solutions that meet internal and external customer requirementsEnsure the AE Team is applying practical conformance to JRA Applications Engineering corporate practices procedures and toolsProvide Cross Functional Team Support within ProjectsEnsure conformance to As Sold Scope of WorkSimilar Job Requirements to that of a Level IV AE with the additional requirements for Task and TeamMember Management as directed by the Applications Engineering ManagerTrain mentor coach and review the Applications Engineering Team and their work with the goal of winning work profitablyManage team member work prioritization capacity tracking quote status tracking and initiating and leading quote kick-off meetingsProvide support to the cross functional team and applications engineering teamSupport AE Manager with interviews cost & concept reviews assignments process compliance deadline management and leading department meetingsSupporting Account Managers by ensuring pain points and competitive advantages are identified and leveraged into the proposalsSupport Account Managers by attending customer visits for key accountsFacilitate concept brainstorming leading docket review meetingsEnsure all outgoing proposals have a clearly defined scope which includes specifying machine buy-off requirements identifying customer part requirements at project level ensuring that the customer specifications have been reviewed and that appropriate risks assumptions and exceptions are properly addressed within the Proposal DocumentAssisting in upper management approval meetingsMaintain assignment-specific AE related fields in company CRM (Salesforce)Perform periodic personnel Performance ReviewsDependent upon workload and needed support the Lead AE may at any time assume the role of any lesser AE as times and circumstances dictateNote: This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however it is intended to be a guideline for activities.What Youll Bring: Bachelors degree in an engineering or business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experienceTen years of industry experience leading successful projectsProficiency in all Applications Engineering processesFormer JR Automation experience or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred.Disclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen physical examination and background check.Company Overview: At JR Automation A Hitachi Group Company we discover potential reimagine limits and advance industry.
