Job Title:Clinical Applications LeadDepartment:Dentistry | Information TechnologyThe College of Dentistry (CoD) Information Systems IT department invites you to join our team as a Clinical Applications Lead. In this role, you’ll support the research, academic, and patient care missions of our college. This role will lead our colleges implementation of strategic goals of clinical applications and integrations. This role has ownership on roadmap for how we enhance our clinical application portfolio.You will partner with various members of our team, including Server Administrators, Data Analysts, and our Electronic Medical Record Manager to meet key objectives. By supporting faculty, staff, and students, you will engage with various stakeholders to ensure all people who work within the college have the knowledge needed in using clinical applications. Through our comprehensive onboarding and training process, we will ensure new candidates become proficient and knowledgeable in the Dentistry IT ecosystem.This role does require the Epic certification that will be completed within a specified number of days of initial employment.If you enjoy problem-solving, project planning, and seeking experience leading in a complex IT environment, you will thrive here! This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Information Technology.This position has the following responsibilities: Lead clinical application operations—in collaboration with IT and clinical teams to support user requests, issue resolution, break/fix, enhancements, upgrades, and strategic planning for systems such as Epic, MiPacs, and others.Own the clinical application roadmap and drive initiatives that align with the College’s strategic goals.Identify and implement workflow optimization opportunities through process mapping, storyboarding, and barrier removal.Serve as the College’s subject matter expert for clinical applications, providing guidance and strategies for effective use.Lead change management processes in partnership with Wexner Medical Center, including planning, communication, and implementation.Maintain Epic builder credentials to prepare and deploy code for IHIS.Develop and manage downtime and disaster recovery plans for clinical applications, ensuring compliance with OSU ISCR and College requirements.Additional Information:Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or combination of education and experience.6 years' experience in application management as a leader or senior analyst required; 8-12 years’ experience desired.Advanced professional experience in project management or change management.Advanced professional experience in data analytics for KPI and desired service outcomes.Professional experience working with large units to improve workflows and large change efforts.The targeted hiring pay range for this position is $95,300 - $124,650 based on experience and education.The final candidate must successfully complete a background check and alcohol and drug screening.Location:Postle Hall (0024)Position Type:RegularScheduled Hours:40Shift:First ShiftFinal candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
