*****THIS POSITION IS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR VISA SPONSORSHIP*****What You'll Do:The Associate Principal, IT Planning & Analytics role is responsible for measuring and monitoring the performance of OCC's public cloud investments as well as maturing the IT Cost Transparency module in Apptio. This role ensures the efficient and cost-effective use of cloud resources by implementing cost management frameworks to support organizational objectives.The successful candidate will have a strong technology management background with experience in IT financial analytics and play a key role in the governance of technology budget planning and forecasting. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.Prepare and analyze public cloud forecasts and budgets. Monitor and analyze public cloud financial performance and recommend strategies for optimization. Design, implement and monitor financial infrastructure metrics.Apply the FinOps framework to maximize the business value of the public cloud with coordination across business, engineering, and finance teams. Partner cross-functionally to plan and execute cloud optimization opportunities and comply with associated governance controls.Design, configure, validate, and maintain cloud transparency and total cost of ownership reporting.Model complex business problems, discover business insights, and identify opportunities using mining and visualization techniquesParticipates in review process to ensure overall budget/forecast consolidation and rationalization.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications and Experience:The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary functions.Previous work experience in FinOps required with a strong background in Technology Business Management or IT Finance.Experience modeling cloud service costs requiredExperience financially modeling IT expenses such as application total cost of ownership (TCO) and business capability TCO. Preferred cost modeling experience would include data centers, network, end user compute, storage, virtual environments, application development, and IT operations.Highly motivated individual that assumes ownership of their projects. Ability to provide solutions that meet the business objectives and deliver on time, on budget, with a high degree of qualityAbility to work efficiently and effectively with multiple levels of management and staff across the organizationPrevious work experience in a highly regulated, capital markets company preferredTechnical SkillsExperience with Apptio One, Cloudability, CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS QuickSight, or detailed IT cost models requiredStrong data transformation skills using MS Excel requiredExpert with numbers, advanced analytical skillsStrong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.Ability to use mining and visualization techniques to spotlight insights and opportunitiesStrong communication and presentation skillsrequiredCertificationsFinOps Certification, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or other cloud certifications preferredCertified TBM Executive (CTBME), Recognized TBMA (RTBMA), Elite TBMA (ETBMA) a plusEducation and BackgroundBachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Management, Finance, or related fieldMBA or related graduate level course work a plusMinimum of 8 years of relevant work experienceAbout UsThe Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization. If hired at OCC, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire at the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. Discretionary bonuses are based on various factors, including, but not limited to, company and individual performance and are not guaranteed.Salary Range$126,600.00 - $171,100.00Incentive Range8% to 15%This position is eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award, for which the target range is listed above (see Incentive Range).
