This role leads the development of enterprise standards oversees disaster recovery and business continuity planning and drives modernization initiativesincluding automation platform engineering and application migration. The architect collaborates with IT security and executive leadership to align technology strategies with business needs while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA HITRUST PCI and SOC2. Additionally the position provides architectural leadership for innovation technology assessment and the adoption of emerging technologies shaping the organizations long-term systems strategy and mentoring technical teams.Required Qualifications: Lead Cloud Systems ArchitectMinimum of 10 years experience in systems engineering cloud architecture or infrastructure architecture roles required.Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.Deep expertise in cloud platform architecture (AWS and Azure) systems engineering virtualization hybrid-cloud patterns and platform automation required.Strong knowledge of zero-trust principles identity and access management and secure system design required.Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible; experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Azure DevOps or similar platforms required.Extensive experience with virtualization (VMware) operating systems engineering (Linux/Windows) and containerization (Kubernetes) required.Demonstrated ability to architect solutions compliant with HIPAA HITRUST SOC2 and PCI required.Experience leading modernization of systems platforms compute architectures and cloud migrations required.Strong leadership communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across teams and leadership levels required.Experience developing platform roadmaps systems architecture standards and governance frameworks required.Ability to mentor engineers and architects in systems engineering cloud design and automation practices required.Preferred Qualifications: Lead Cloud Systems ArchitectRelevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Azure Architect Expert VMware Terraform RHCE etc.) preferred.Nebraska Medicine is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
