Little Blue Valley Sewer District, a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. The district serves a growing region in the eastern and southeastern Kansas City metropolitan area with a combined treatment capacity of 54 MGD encompassing approximately 278 square miles of land area and has a reputation for environmental excellence. Required Qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent 2+ years' experience in wastewater collection systems ability to obtain MWEA Collection Systems Class D certification within one year proficiency in Microsoft Excel plus basic data analysis Ability to work independently and with staff at all levels of the organization Ability to work extended hours (early arrival and/or late departures) when critical systems are inoperable and require continuing efforts. For emergencies that arise after hours, be available for call-in to assist with problem resolution, both on nights and weekends. Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets LBVSD policy requirements Preferred background: related college coursework, experience with SCADA, CMMS, data management, contract coordination, and confined space or hazardous materials work Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Union Ready to apply?
