The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen and provides professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel.CiminoCare is considered a leader and innovator in senior living. Kitchen Supervisor Job Responsibilities:Hands-on role: candidates must be prepared to actively cook in addition to leading the kitchen teamPrepare daily production listEnsure that all stations remain stocked before and during the meal periodVerify that kitchen staff follows all recipes and portions servings correctlyKeep kitchen, dish, and storage areas clean and organizedPlace food and supply orders as directedReceive product, then verify the invoice and freshness of merchandiseHire and train employees to company standardsSet excellent customer service and work examplesActively participate as a member of the management teamManage staffing levels throughout shift Oversee kitchen labor and food cost to budgetary requirementsKitchen Supervisor Work Experience:A minimum of 2 years working in a food preparation positionHold and maintain a Food Handlers PermitCommitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledgeBasic math skillsKnowledge of basic training techniquesAwareness of local, state and federal health and sanitation lawsUnderstanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigeration, slicer, knives, and dish machine demonstrate competence for assigned responsibilitiesAble to follow oral/written instructionsKitchen Supervisor Educational Requirements:Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalentCollege or culinary training preferred, or extensive cooking and production experienceThe Benefits Program is offered to all Eligible Full-Time Team Members:Medical; Dental; Vision; 401(K); Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay; Voluntary Insurance (Accident, Disability, Cancer, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity and Life Insurance)Other benefits offered to ALL Team Members:On the job training; online personal development courses; lucrative team member referral programCiminoCare is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
