Job Description SummaryThe Lead Controls Engineer will report directly to the Operations Manager in a new PSM-covered manufacturing facility in Huntsville Alabama. This role is critical to driving business needs across the site managing complex issues within functional areas of expertise and will be heavily involved in identifying critical needs and the creation implementation and execution of key projects/solutions.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesModify various control platforms (PLC HMI Alarm Management and DCS) on the site as requiredSupport hardware and networking security and reliability initiativesSupport Engineers and maintenance in troubleshooting and commissioning of new equipmentLeads and supports Root Cause Failure Analysis and execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problemsAid in data collection for development of strategic metrics for manufacturing improvementsProvides budget input specifically to identify Infrastructure and Non-Routine spending requirementsSupports PHA and FMEA as Controls SME and develops recommended solutionsProvides input on project packages for feasibility reliability and maintainability prior to construction releaseRequired QualificationsBachelors Degree from an accredited college or university or Associates Degree and relevant work experienceAbility and willingness to work off shift as required.Ability to assume additional responsibilities as required.Desired CharacteristicsBachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or universityExperience with Process Safety Management (PSM)Hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of instrumentation and electrical systems equipment and software.Experience with any of the following platforms: Allen Bradley Mitsubishi GE RX3i GE MarkVIe Cimplicty HMIGE Aerospace offers comprehensive benefits and programs to support your health and along with programs like HealthAhead your physical emotional financial and social wellbeing.
