The Lead Estimator is responsible for accurate estimation of the materials and labor needed to complete a project according to engineered and designed plans. Works under general supervision; exercises discretion and judgement on work priority on a regular basis Qualifications/KnowledgeMust be proficient in MS Excel and WordPreferred bachelor degree in related discipline or equivalentMinimum 3 to 5 years of experience in related field/responsibilities.Working knowledge and experience using CAD software.Experience in manufacturing and the wood industry preferred. Skills and abilitiesMust be well organized, detail-oriented, extremely accurate and quality-minded.Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, to meet deadlines, and work under little supervision.Demonstrated ability to prepare project estimatesAble to be mobile in the work environment and travel as required.Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing and speakingAbility to read and understand blue printsAbility to apply business math to manufacturing processProficiency with MS Office and other business software.
