Advanced Energy has devoted four decades to perfecting power for its global customers and is headquartered in Denver Colorado.POSITION SUMMARY: Acting as a key influencer to business leaders the Lead Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial leadership and business partnership to one or more of Advanced Energys product line organizations in support of strategic decision-making within their organizations. The ideal candidate will be self-driven with strong business savvy regularly identifying business needs and recommending changes and improvements for both the business partner leaders and within the finance organization. The Lead Financial Analyst is a hands-on contributor supporting business leadership teams by leveraging broad finance experience and technical expertise to support strategic initiatives through high impact financial analysis reporting and insight.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops maintains and effectively communicates insightful financial information to support decision making of the Global Service Organization (GSO) senior leadership teamProvides financial partnership and business recommendations supported with data analyticsOwns and manages all aspects of revenue COGS margin and expense forecasting and analysis across multiple global manufacturing service sitesLeads preparation of monthly reporting/analysis for operational reviews to key stakeholdersParticipates actively in the development of digital tools and processes within Finance and GSOGenerates monthly dashboards for GSO including detailed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regional P&Ls supported by relevant and insightful variation analysisKey finance business partner for product managers budget owners and operations leaders supporting strategic initiatives through investment analysis business case modeling and make vs. buy decision supportProactively identifies trends and opportunities and makes recommendations to the business leaders to improve processes and/or financial performanceDrives mature best-in-class FP&A processes creating an environment of financial acumen visibility and accountabilityWorks directly and effectively with all levels of the organization across multiple continents and time zonesActs as a curious leader within the finance organization asking questions to learn and mentoring financial analystsAs a member of the global finance organization monitors and works within the internal control environment and partners as needed with both internal and external audit teamsQUALIFICATIONS:Ability to perform both strategic and hands on analysis in a fast paced global environmentAbility to utilize the full Microsoft Office Suite at an advanced level of proficiencyStrong work ethic exceptional say / do ratio self-starter with bias to actionAbility to lead and influence through both direct and indirect working relationshipsDemonstrated thought leadership and problem-solving skillsPrior experience with an integrated ERP system including Financial Planning and Consolidation (SAP preferred)Proven organizational time management project management conflict resolution and interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsEXPERIENCE:Essential:At least 6-8 years of progressive financial experience with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment or management consultingDesirable:Previous financial management experience of full P&L in a global high tech and/or manufacturing companyPrevious experience in both Business Unit Finance FP&A and Cost / Manufacturing AccountingPassion for tool building leading the way with digital data transformationEDUCATION:Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or similarMBA CPA CMA is a plusCOMPENSATION:As required by multiple state pay transparency laws Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific office location.
