Job Description
The Lead I role is responsible for ensuring the safety productivity and performance of all operational employees on their designated shift. This role includes advanced responsibilities such as strategic planning project management performance analysis and cross department coordination to drive operational excellence. The Lead I ensures that scheduled operations are executed efficiently and meet all quality standards while promptly escalating any open issues to the appropriate supervisor manager or other designated management contacts.RequirementsResponsibilities and Duties:Mentor team members and provide advanced training to ensure role clarity and departmental alignmentLead by example in professionalism punctuality and work ethicFoster a positive team attitude to maintain high morale and productivitySupport onboarding and continuous training effortsDelegate tasks and monitor team performance to meet daily quotasEnsure compliance with safety standards SOPs and productivity goalsAssist in scheduling and resource allocation to optimize workflowMonitor departmental emails and respond promptlyDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and 5S principlesConduct performance analysis and report findings to senior managementRun daily reports and address discrepanciesSupport monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate recordsCollaborate with internal departments to resolve operational issuesMaintain strong customer relationships and serve as a point of contact during visitsCommunicate effectively with engineers and other stakeholdersManage inbound/outbound shipments will calls and material transactionsMonitor ticketing systems and process SAP transactions (RTS NCI SRK etc.)Oversee inventory and ordering of crates boxes and cleanroom bagsSign IPC employee timecards and run RMBWA reportsProvide supervisors managers peers and subordinates with information about quality safety delivery cost and moraleAssist the Supervisor in ensuring team adherence to policies procedures and productivity standardsEnsure that all processes run smoothly and that workers are always kept safeProvide excellent internal and external customer serviceNavigate within WMS to check on material and its current locationAssess and analyze current practices and drive improvementsPartner and coordinate with management peers subordinates and other internal departments to resolve issues and concernsComplete all other duties assignedAbilities:Attention to detail and ownership of tasks.Integrity and professionalism.Adaptability to changing priorities.Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.Commitment to safety quality and customer satisfaction.Demonstrate the ability to interact well with others and follow instructions.Flexibility and ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals and needs.Ability to read and write comprehend basic checklists forms or other documents.Ability to follow oral and written directions.Must be able to stand walk use hands to handle objects or reach with hands and arms climb ladders kneel crouch.Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. unassisted while using safe lifting techniques.Willingness to work a flexible schedule including overtime to cover escalations if required.Follow all meet all SLAs and SWIs.Qualifications & Skills needed:High school diploma or equivalent24 years of experience in logistics or a related fieldStrong math writing and communication skillsIntermediate computer proficiency; SAP and Microsoft Office experience preferredKnowledge of inventory control shipping/receiving and RF equipmentForklift certification/experience (Sit-Down and Stand-Up)Understanding of Lean 5S and 7S methodologiesExcellent time management and soft skillsHigh sense of accuracyAssertive and able to meet high volume demandAble to collaborate with all parties necessary to achieve goalsMay need to use light power toolsRK QualitiesAdherence to all RK Safety Quality ISO and HR policies and standardsRK Logistics Group will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
