The Lead Janitor coordinates the activities of employees engaged in cleaning and maintaining premises of commercial and industrial establishments within dry and cold environments. PAY RATE: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour SCHEDULE: Full Time - Days and Times may vary RESPONSIBILITIES:Assign tasks to workers, and inspects completed work for conformance to standardsOversee floor and carpet care employeesIssue supplies and equipmentPerform duties of janitorial staffAppraise employee performanceAddress customer complaints and resolves problemsQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type positionOn the job training will be providedAttention to detailAbility to follow instructions effectivelyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):Ability to speak, read, and write multiple languages fluentlyPrior cleaning or janitorial experienceFamiliarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standardsKnowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxingExperience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenanceClosingDiversified Maintenance is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
