This job location is Hahnville, LA. The plant lead janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and sanitation of the plant, including outlying buildings, common areas, offices, and restrooms. The role requires the proper and safe use of ServiceMaster approved products, tools, procedures and equipment in an industrial setting. This role handles leadership duties like quality control and team management. To work well in this role, you should be willing to learn our cleaning process and be dependable to carry out tasks as trained as well as having dependable transportation at all times. The ideal candidate has a great work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and takes pride in a job well done. Must contribute to a positive work climate by displaying a pleasant attitude, embracing our corporate culture and values, and contributing to the overall team effort by being in uniform, dependable, and on time. Must have a TWIC card or able to acquire one.Responsibilities are DUAL ROLE as Janitor and Team LeaderMaintain the cleanliness and safety of the buildingVacuum carpets, mop floors, scrub restrooms, dust furniture, and empty trash cans dailyClean and sanitize restrooms and break areas, ensuring they are well-stocked with supplies.Adhere to all safety, security, and quality standards established by the company and regulatory authoritiesReport to supervisor any repairs or problemsUse proper PPE where required. Lead the team and overseeing and coordinating their cleaning.Enforcing safety rules and ensuring compliance with regulations.QualificationsEducational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalentAt least 3 years of experience in janitorial services and 1 year in lead roleDrivers license or reliable transportation to and from the worksiteMust be able to pass background and drug screeningExperience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipmentExcellent stamina and physical healthMust be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic
