Job Description SummaryThis Manufacturing Engineering role will support daily operations within the Power Nozzle Repair cell. This role will establish internal processes that safely ensures the production of high-quality products that meet compliance and project requirements. Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by owning project timelines improving cycle & cost and resolving technical/process issues. Lead and effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet EHS production quality and cost savings goals within schedule and budget.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Support Type 1 & Type 2 problem solving across the cell primarily focused in OEE effortsLead improvement efforts for equipment reliability process controls and ergonomic solutionsWork cross-functionally to support LEAN activities and new technologiesSupport product qualifications as neededProvide technical leadership and support for training of machinist welders and material process operators across areas of expertiseMaintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent qualityImplement and maintain 5S solutions in assigned areas; drive culture changeDrive improvements partnering with outside vendors to improve consumable costDevelop machine fixture and tooling strategies for new product introductionDevelop work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process controlMentor others in area of expertiseOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Bachelors Degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of manufacturing work experience)Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experienceEligibility Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the futureThis position is 100% onsite position at the GE Vernova Greenville SC Garlington siteThis role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e. U.S. citizens permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
