Lead Operational Risk & Internal Control SpecialistResponsible for developing and enhancing the risk and control environment within the businesses. Works with minimal supervision. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to managementResponsibilities:Works across departments to coordinate initiatives.Analyzes risk and operations data. Interpret data for the purpose of supporting key business goals such as risk environment monitoring and risk mitigation.Assess processes for risk and control effectiveness. Supports control design process and assess processes for any control gaps or enhancements needed to ensure effectiveness of controls.Supports management in preparing presentations and reports.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or military experienceAt least 1 year of Risk Management or Audit ExperienceAt least 2 years of Project Management experienceAt least 3 years of experience supporting partnering and interacting with internal business clientsPreferred Qualifications:At least 3 years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in RiskLean Six Sigma and/or demonstrated process improvement expertiseAt this time Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location.
