Reporting to the Production Manager the Lead PCBA Technician will provide peer leadership to a team responsible for installing and reworking SMT and T/H components.Weekday Shift on Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PMKey Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with a high-performing team of skilled PCBA technicians.Properly execute production needs within daily-weekly targets.Prep and hand solder SMT and T/H components using both a soldering iron and a hot air soldering.Load and operate SMT and T/H equipment.Perform rework on SMT and T/H components.Perform general housekeeping tasks and following all procedures and processes to Terran Orbital standards.Coach team members on best practices to ensure the quality efficiency and throughput of printed circuit board assembly.Qualifications and Skills 1 year experience as a team lead with a demonstrated reputation for delivering unique high complexity systems.5 years of experience with PCBA assembly in a high-mix mid-volume environment (8 years preferred)Working experience with operating SMT assembly equipmentFamiliarity with 6S housekeeping practicesCurrent IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 certificationsExperience with engineering documents (drawings and BOMs)Capable of interacting with PC-based operating systems (Microsoft Suite MES ERP etc.)Strong verbal and written communication skillsWilling to work in a cross-functional capacity and be trained to perform all manufacturing-related processes.Energy and passion for inventing and creating new solutions challenging the status quo and driving positive changeU.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearanceAdditional Differentiators Experience with BGA replacementExperience with SMT Assembly ProcessYour actual level and base salary will be determined case-by-case and may vary based on the job-related qualification knowledge skills education and addition to base salary we offer 100% covered medical dental and vision coverage a 401(k) match Flexible Time Off (FTO) covered life insurance maternity and paternity leave tuition reimbursement employee referrals and lots of swag!Salary Range$28 - $40 USDBenefits100% Company-paid comprehensive medical dental and vision coverage for you and your dependents401(k) MatchFlexible Time Off (FTO)Education ReimbursementCompetitive Paid Parental LeaveAbout Terran OrbitalTerran Orbital is a leading manufacturer of satellite products primarily serving the aerospace and defense industries.
