Work alongside other passionate individuals to support and enrich the lives of our children and families in our community.The YMCA at the Southeast Family YMCA is an approved Pilot Site for Preschool For All starting in the Fall of 2024. Preschool For All is a Multnomah County funded program looking to connect 3 and 4 year olds with free, culturally responsive, inclusive preschool experience.Benefits:Comprehensive Medical Plans: Medical, dental, and vision for full-time staffHoliday Pay: 9 paid holidays for full-time staffVacation Pay: 10 days for full-time staff, increasing after two years of workSick Pay: 1.5 hours for every 40 hours workedTuition ReimbursementChildcare and Program DiscountsFree Household Membership to a YMCA Fitness FacilityRetirement Plan: 8% contribution after two years worked (must meet certain criteria).Flexible SchedulingCareer Path: Promotion to management positions from within the organizationJob Responsibilities:A Lead Teacher will work in the program supervising teachers, aides, and volunteers. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, developing and implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community.Requirements:Pass a YMCA Background CheckMeet all lead teacher standards as dictated by Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care and Preschool for All including one of the following: 1) Step 7 or higher in the Oregon Registry, 2) Associates Degree or higher in a child development related field, 3) State or nationally recognized credential related to preschool (please inquire for more information) - Please include this with your application if possibleCurrent enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment.Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.At least 18 years of age
