This role is responsible for comprehensive reporting and analysis of downstream site operations materials finance leaders and ITR partners (HDNU HD services Aero). The mission of the project cost specialist is to drive improvements to core processes and partner with key stakeholders to create tools & analytical solutions that enabling efficiencies to downstream operating partners.What youll doOwn quarterly estimate at completion (EAC) reporting to measure project deviations vs handbook (as sold) and prior quarter validating actual costs for both direct material labor and other manufacturing overheadMonitor and improve key project controls throughout the project lifecycle from creation execution & monitoring billing reporting and closureGather key inputs from operations to properly maintain project forecast in systemPartner with operations to monitor project risks and opportunities and proposing corrective action plans to improve contract margin and cash profilePerform execution of project billing ensuring proper sign off and documentation to ensure timely and accurate processingSupport annual standard and handbook processes providing year over year variance insights linked to key operational drivers of labor inflation/deflation farm-in/farm-out decisionsAble to partner with key stakeholders to develop harmonized standard global operating procedures in complex matrixed operating environmentAble to effectively communicate current state and future state process & controls and develop roadmap to align system/process differences across global supply chain to drive harmonized global standard workCoordinate with IT to deliver high impact project analytics and controls that drives operational accountability predictability and transparencyPartner with key stakeholders to implement scalable solutions such as automated billing or project closure to improve finance efficiency and reporting accuracyWhat youll bring (Basic Qualifications)Prior experience in supply chainBachelors degree Exceptional excel skillsetPrior knowledge of manufacturing system ERPs (i.e. SAP Oracle BAAN) and with digital and automation tools such as Tableau RPAWhat will make you stand outStrong interpersonal leadership problem-solving skills and communication skillsAbility to work independently and proactively to delivery accurate and timely reporting to key stakeholdersEmbrace GE Vernova Way driving innovation serving customers embracing LEAN winning as one team and accountable to deliverAdditional Notes:Preferred Location: Schenectady NY USAAbility and willingness to travel up to 10%Additional InformationGE Vernova offers a great work environment professional development challenging careers and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
