You will engage with cross-functional teams to drive planning and execution of engineering activities, including scheduling, deliverables, tooling/fabs, testing and validation.In this role, you will support the electrical and mechanical engineering teams in the product execution process. You will work with the system program management, product management, operations, engineering, reliability, and regulatory teams to ensure product deliverables are met on time and meet requirements. The Hardware EPM will be responsible for the coordination and planning of all engineering milestones, development builds, and change requests, ensuring the timely release of assemblies, components and systems to procurement.The ideal engineer is an enthusiastic problem solver who can identify issues before they become problems and is able to build and implement effective processes where they are lacking.What You Will Bring to ChargePointEPMs are responsible for the daily management through the life cycle of the program. Must be able to define product life cycle steps and drive projects through design and development, as well as manufacturing executionPlan the overall program and monitor progress to make sure that milestones are being met across the various projects and programs. EPMs should work with Product Management to drive the closure of product requirements via a PRDEPMs need to develop a program schedule with identified key dependencies and get cross-functional agreement to drive the schedule from concept to OK2 shipEPMs manage the risks and issues that might and do arise over the course of the program life cycle, as well as take measures to correct them when they occurCoordinate the projects and their interdependencies between the various tasks of the projectsDrive deliverables and align across projects in the programDrive all project design and manufacturing issues via JIRAEPMs manage the program budget and help drive the project budget at project launchManage and use resources across the various projects to support the programEPMs should communicate program status regularly to the stakeholdersRequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience3-8 years' experience leading complex hardware technology projects with aggressive schedulesExperience leading the introduction of new technologies with a proven understanding of product development lifecyclesAbility to quickly pick up new technologies and industry trendsOutstanding critical thinking and passion for conquering what may seem to be impossibleExcellent leadership and social skillsStrong experience as a project manager of a large and complex project and have a broad knowledge of project and program management methodologiesStrong leadership and managerial skills with appropriate experience as well as knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation proceduresEPMs must understand the wider objectives of the program, such as business and strategic goalsMust have an ability to work with a wide range of individualsFluency in using Confluence and JIRADemonstrate skills to manage cross functional teams by leading core teams, technical teams and contract manufacturersExcellent written and verbal communication skills (ability to influence without the authority)Problem solving skills in design and manufacturing aspect of the productLocationCampbell, CAChargePoint is committed to fair andequitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $180,000 to $220,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable.
