This is an exciting opportunity for a Researcher to join our Center for Advanced Genome Engineering (CAGE). The CAGE has three missions:Facilitate investigator-initiated genome editing projects using CRISPR technologyPerform independent R&D to evaluate and develop new genome editing techniquesAssist the gene and cell therapy programs at St. Jude Childrens Research HospitalThe CAGE offers a strong team-based environment where you will work collaboratively with other investigators across the institution to support their research needs and develop and improve genome engineering technologies.Responsibilities:Assist in designing and implementing genome editing strategiesPerform molecular biology techniques such as PCR cloning and DNA/RNA extractionMaintain and culture cell linesCollect and analyze experimental dataCollaborate with team members and investigatorsPreferred Skills:Basic understanding of molecular biology techniquesFamiliarity with CRISPR-Cas9 technology (training provided)Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environmentStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience with cell culture is a plusInterest in learning new technologiesMinimum Education and/or Training:Bachelors degree in relevant scientific area is requiredMinimum Experience:no experience requiredCompensationIn recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
