We are a local Remodeling company with a long history of serving Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding counties. Our company is in need of another lead to join our team. Applicants must be comfortable with doing everything from start to finish on remodeling projects for bathrooms and kitchens. Must have a reliable truck, most trade tools as well as a positive attitude, and clean appearance. Must have references. Must also be reliable, respectful, be able to communicate well with others and follow instructions. Ideal candidate is able to work on their own when needed and be able to manage all projects. Come work for a local company who loves what they do!Carpenter Duties and ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches and comprehend verbal instruction and follow project specificationsTake measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the projectCut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements and project needsBuild window frames, doors, staircases, frame buildings, and other structures by using raw materials or per-constructed itemsInstall floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulationInspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as neededComply with all company and governmental safety guidelinesCarpenter Requirements and QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCompletion of a carpentry program at a vocational school or carpentry apprenticeship preferred5+ years of professional carpentry experience a plusStrong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including cabinetry installation and construction techniquesProficient in using power and hand tools as well as measurement toolsAble to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsGood physical condition, stamina, and dexterityBenefitsPaid Holidays first year.
