Youll be a key member on a team focused on monitoring operations and incident management while strategically building capabilities in automation reliability engineering and proactive system optimization for our critical banking infrastructure and services.About This Role:Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and implementation of advanced monitoring frameworksestablishmonitoring bestpractices and mentor teammates onleveragingmonitoring tools for proactive identification andresolution of issuesPartner with application teams to improve observability and incident preventionArchitect and oversee system reliability optimization strategies with theobjectivesof enhancingsystem capabilities ensuring superior performance for our customers and fostering a culture ofcontinuous innovation/improvementSpearhead the growth and evolution of the Site Reliability Engineering practice at FNBOestablishingtechnical standards and driving adoption of SRE principlesDirect critical incident response activities providing technical leadership during high-severity incidents to ensure rapid resolution and minimal service disruptionIdentify opportunities to automate manual monitoring and response tasksChampion infrastructure-as-code and automation initiatives where applicableDrive toil reduction initiatives through automation and process improvementParticipate in architecture reviews with focus on operability monitoring and resiliencyServe as a key participant in post-incident reviews and drive implementation of corrective actionsAnalyze system performance trends and capacity utilization identifying opportunities for improvementCollaborate with security and engineering teams to improve system reliabilitySupport 24/7 monitoring operations for critical banking systems and applicationsOptimize alerting strategies to reduce noise and improve mean time to detectionMaintain and enhance monitoring dashboards and reporting capabilitiesDirect critical incident response activities providing technical leadership during high-severity incidents to ensure rapid resolution and minimal service disruptionProvide technical governance for Change Control processes evaluating complex changes andestablishingrisk mitigation strategiesFoster operational knowledge sharing and documentation of tribal knowledgeBegin establishing SLIs/SLOs for critical services in partnership with product teamsIntroduce error budget concepts and reliability metrics and facilitate reliability/velocity trade-off discussionsThe Ideal Candidate for This Role:Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent experience7 years of experience in software development or site reliabilityProven track record managing high-availability mission-critical systemsExpert-level experience with monitoring platformsStrong troubleshooting and crisis response capabilitiesBroad software development capabilities from scripting to application development to infrastructure as codeFamiliarity with DORA metrics and DevOps measurement frameworksUnderstanding of network protocols databases and system architectureUnderstanding of deployment pipeline reliability and release engineering practicesStrong communication skills for executive reporting and cross-team coordinationThis position will support our broker-dealer and therefore will be subject to certain supervisory requirements. The scope of supervision may include but is not necessarily limited to monitoring of electronic communications monitoring of personal securities transactions and annual training. Qualifications requirements include employment verification and meeting applicable financial responsibility and criminal background standards.Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.Work Environment: It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work onsite at the posted location.
