Candidate will support a multitude of programs with a range of system capabilities and maturity level. System capability will be tested over the air locally and at government test locations. Strong technical interpersonal communication and leadership skills are desired.As Lead Software Developeryou will work with a team to design implement and test systems software for advanced real-time signal processing applications for sonar radar electronic warfare (detection protection jamming and spoofing).What you will do:Work with STR team to understand capability requirements brainstorm solutions and evaluate the pros and cons of each to inform decisionsDevelop and implement embedded systems software for advanced real-time signal processing applicationsPotential travel to customer meetings and/or data collections and experiments is expectedWho you are: This position requires the ability to obtain a secret security clearance for which U.S. citizenship is required by U.S. Government and eligible to support special access programsExperience developing software with GNU/Linux toolchains using open source softwareProficient in C C or similar real-time embedded programming languagesComfortable using Python and/or MATLAB programming languagesExperience with firmware languages such as VHDL and/or VerilogExperience with software tools including Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) version control tracking scripting and break-point debuggingWorking knowledge of software design patterns and best practicesUnderstanding of software-hardware interfacing techniques and implementationsEnthusiasm to learn new skills and a desire for developing softwareBS MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Applied Mathematics Physics or a related technical disciplineBS with 7 years of experience MS with 5 years or PhD with 2 yearsEven Better:Active Secret or TS/SCI ClearanceLinux kernel level modules and device driver developmentKnowledge of real-time multi-threaded embedded software preferably on Linux OSExperience writing software using a large multi-party code baseWorking in a laboratory environment using measurement equipment and performing quantitative data analysisDeveloping software using hardware accelerators such as GPUs DSPs and FPGAsExperience implementing software using systems on a chip such as Xilinx MPSoC or RFSoCExperience using machine learning techniquesReal-time optimization of signal processing algorithms developed in languages like MATLAB or PythonJoin us and be part of a team thats making an impact at the forefront of technology and innovation.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $157000 - $223000The salary range listed is based on external market data.
